A fire early Thursday in the Circuit of the Americas paddock led to damage to the equipment of four MotoGP teams, including that of one of the favorites for Sunday’s Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.
“It’s an issue. It’s a big issue,” said Lin Jarvis, managing director of Yamaha’s racing team. “We’ll be able to race this weekend, we’re quite confident of that, but we have to take everything to pieces basically and then dry it to make sure we don’t have corrosion issues.”
