On an afternoon when the Texas softball team feted its senior class, the seventh-ranked Longhorns used Kim Bruins’ bases-loaded RBI single in the ninth inning Sunday to beat No. 22 Baylor 2-1 before a crowd of 1,315 fans at McCombs Field.
Bruins’ clutch hit, one of her two on the day, scored fellow senior Taylor Hoagland with the winning run and allowed ace pitcher Blaire Luna, also a senior, to pick up the victory.
