Just 24 hours after doing virtually nothing right in a loss Oklahoma in the opening of the three-game series, sixth-ranked Texas turned the tables on the top-ranked Sooners, using clutch hits by Brejae Washington, Taylor Thom and Karina Scott and a dominating showing in the circle by ace Blaire Luna to grab a 4-2 victory Saturday before a capacity crowd of 1,323 fans at McCombs Field.
Luna, a day removed from the worst showing of her heretofore sterling 2013 campaign, allowed Oklahoma just four scattered hits and two earned runs. Luna (22-2) struck out eight and walked just three in fashioning her 19th complete game of the season.
