Texas A&M faces tall task in NCAA baseball

Tournament preview with teams and players to watch.

For the second year in a row, the Texas Longhorns didn’t make baseball’s postseason, yet the NCAA decided to go ahead with the tournament anyway.

Texas A&M (32-27) did qualify for the seventh consecutive year, and the Aggies open play Friday as the second seed in the Corvallis, Ore., regional, facing UC-Santa Barbara (34-23), a team they’ve never seen before.
