Sometimes the difference between two powerhouse softball teams in a crucial series is the contributions from unheralded players, the ones who usually set the table for the more ballyhooed run producers.
That was the case Sunday as Oklahoma’s Brianna Turang, batting in the ninth spot, had three hits and drove in two huge runs to push the top-ranked Sooners past No. 6 Texas 5-3 before an overflow crowd of 1,257 fans at McCombs Field.
