Saturday’s game between Texas A&M and Texas-El Paso was supposed to be a friendly contest where Jameill Showers could show his former Aggies teammates what they were missing after a quarterback competition forced him to choose another school in the offseason.
Showers, now captain of the UTEP Miners, will be on hand for the game at Kyle Field. But he won’t be playing. He injured his shoulder in last Saturday’s 45-7 loss to Rice and could miss the rest of the season.
