Despite the swirl of rumors about Mack Brown’s retirement, Texas benefactor and lawyer Joe Jamail told the American-Statesman on Tuesday that the ultimate decision about Brown’s future rests with the head football coach.
“Mack will decide when he goes,” said Jamail, who talks to Brown daily. “There are so many rumors spread on the Internet these days, but he is not in any trouble. I would know it. I think he may decide to stay or go, but he hasn’t decided yet.”
