Texas State’s search for a new men’s basketball coach is ongoing, with initial interviews set to begin within days, said athletic director Larry Teis.
Doug Davalos did not have his contract renewed last week. Texas State was 12-22 this season, finishing seventh in its only year as a member of the WAC. He was 92-107 in his seven years as the Bobcats’ coach and never had a team finish above the .500 mark. He reportedly made $120,000 last season.
