Backup linebacker Tevin Jackson will miss the rest of the season. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Texas’ 35-13 win over Kansas last Saturday.
Jackson, a 6-2, 238-pound junior from Garland, was the backup at strongside linebacker behind Peter Jinkens. He’s the second linebacker the Longhorns have lost for the season; weakside starter Jordan Hicks suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the Sept. 21 win over Kansas State.
