The Longhorns extended their long streak of baseball futility Saturday night, a 1-0 defeat at Baylor assuring that they will lose their ninth straight three-game Big 12 series — six of them this season.
Texas (22-19, 5-12 Big 12) struck out 14 times against three pitchers. Five Texas batters took called third strikes. Baylor starter Austin Stone (3-2) struck out 10 in six innings, a career best for the sophomore.
