While I got ya, here are nine things and one crazy prediction:
1. I’m betting Mack Brown coaches again. The Texas coach dodged every question about his future and his exit. But those closest to him, including former Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds, expect him to remain in the profession. “I hope he does. He needs to coach,” Dodds told me. “He’s made to coach. He’d be great on TV, but his greatest worth and passion is coaching.” I can’t see Brown dipping down to a small school. Most expect Brown to take the $2.75 million buyout over the minimum of $500,000 a year for seven years because a top source at Texas told me Sunday, “I have heard he wants no part of working for (president Bill) Powers.”
