Two Texas A&M Aggies, including one from Austin, a Texas Tech pitcher from Giddings and a hard thrower from Texas State were taken Friday on day two of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Tech starter Trey Masek, the American-Statesman’s All-Central Texas player of the year in 2010 from Giddings, was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the fifth round.
