The Austin Aztex won their opening game Saturday scoring in the 77th and 88th minutes to get a 2-1 win over Oklahoma City FC.
Oklahoma City took a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute on a free kick by Adam Black. Oklahoma City held off the Aztex offense until the 77th minute, when Tony Rocha’s free kick was deflected into the back of the net, tying the game at 1-1.
Austin took the lead in the 88th minute when Walker Hume headed in a long throw by Justin Franz, giving Austin a 2-1 win. The Aztex will return home to play the NTX Rayados on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at House Park.
