Four quick touches from as many players, a quick burst down the middle of the field by forward Kris Tyrpak and 16 seconds elapsed off the clock at the south end was all it took for Austin to score and set the pace in the Aztex’s 4-0 win against a shocked Oklahoma City FC on Saturday before a season-high crowd of 2,111 at House Park.
The tally by Tyrpak, the former Dripping Springs standout, caught Oklahoma City FC by surprise and put the visitors on theirheels almost from the opening whistle. It was the quickest goal scored by the Aztex in the team’s two-year Premier Development League history and was the first of three goals in the game for Tyrpak. He had three hat tricks for Austin last season.
