Pedestrian killed on I-35 near Oltorf Street in South Austin


A man died on Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 35 near Oltorf Street.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, emergency crews were dispatched to the 2300 block of the interstate around 12:28 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.

EMS crews arrived and found a man in his 40s dead in the northbound lanes.

Authorities are urging anyone in the area to seek alternate routes while they investigate the crash.
