Wendy Davis questions Greg Abbott’s values in Saturday speech

With a pointed attack Saturday on Greg Abbott’s values for cozying up to “an admitted sexual predator,” state Sen. Wendy Davis sought to wring more political advantage out of the attorney general’s political relationship with rocker Ted Nugent, even as Abbott sought to bring down the curtain on the worst week of his gubernatorial campaign.

In a speech before a pumped-up crowd of about 200 women at the Texas Democratic Women’s Convention in Austin’s Wyndham Garden Hotel, the Fort Worth Democrat said Saturday that Abbott’s affiliation with Nugent reveals Abbott’s lack of “Texas values.”
