A group of largely rural lawmakers is trying to thwart a state proposal to ban the use of gasoline fumes to lure rattlesnakes out of hibernation.
“We could argue all day about the scientific validity of this,” state Rep. Susan L. King, R-Abilene, told the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission on Thursday.
