A University of Texas System regent predicted in January that Bill Powers would no longer be president of the Austin campus by the end of the year, according to a newly disclosed email.
Regent Wallace Hall Jr. made the comment during a phone conversation with the agent for University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban, according to the email from Tom Hicks, a booster and former regent, to his brother, Steve Hicks, a current regent. Tom Hicks participated in the phone call with Hall.
