A University of Texas System regent who is already under investigation by a state House panel came under renewed criticism Friday after acknowledging that he spoke with the agent for the University of Alabama’s football coach.
Regent Wallace L. Hall Jr. of Dallas talked by phone with Alabama coach Nick Saban’s agent in January about the possibility of the Crimson Tide coach replacing UT coach Mack Brown.
