Bill Powers, president of the University of Texas, has been sparring with some members of the school’s governing board for nearly three years.
In the latest twist, the UT System Board of Regents has scheduled a closed-door session for Thursday to discuss Powers’ employment, suggesting an effort to settle the question of whether he should remain as president of the Austin flagship.
