A special committee of the Texas Legislature has hired noted Houston trial lawyer Rusty Hardin to lead an investigation on whether University of Texas Regent Wallace Hall Jr. should be impeached.
Hardin served as special prosecutor in the Williamson County court of inquiry that ended in April with former prosecutor Ken Anderson’s arrest on charges that he improperly hid evidence in the 1987 trial of Michael Morton, who served almost 25 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.
