Case against University of Texas Regent Wallace Hall Jr. takes shape

A University of Texas System regent operated outside the normal bounds of a regent’s duties in seeking a forensic analysis of a UT-Austin donor group’s computers, contacting a football coach’s agent and disputing a fundraising policy, according to testimony before a state legislative committee Wednesday.

The regent, Wallace Hall Jr., is under investigation by the House Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, which could recommend his impeachment or otherwise censure him.
