If the proposed $33.3 million in improvements to two roads in eastern Travis County are not being done primarily to benefit Circuit of the Americas, three Travis County commissioners are doing their best to make it look that way.
In fast-tracking road projects near the Formula One track — that weren’t on the county’s radar for construction anytime soon — those commissioners have ignored their own procedures and conducted business in a way that would deny voters their rightful say on road projects financed by their tax dollars.
