Re: June 21 article, “Long-planned realignment of Davis Lane wins funding.”
The article describes the $4.5 million Davis Lane work to be done west of Brodie Lane. Bravo! Maybe this will finally happen. However, this will eliminate only half of the bottleneck! East of Brodie will remain two lanes. Couldn’t they at least spend a few thousand more and add a Davis westbound right-turn-only lane at Brodie? Right now westbound Davis traffic coming from West Gate Boulevard and wanting to turn right must wait on those turning left (eventually straight west, too). Someone could bring a sledgehammer to get rid of the useless curb there that prevents people turning right on red.
