Davis filibuster squandered taxpayers' money
Wendy Davis knew, without a doubt, that the bill she was filibustering was going to pass. Her actions cost the taxpayers of Texas about a million dollars because another session had to be called to vote on the bill she obstructed. Any politician, regardless of party affiliation, who intentionally obstructs the workings of government should be run out of office. This was strictly a personal agenda on her part to gain more political ground. She should be ashamed of her actions. This was not the work of a honest representative of the people, it simply showed how selfish and how far today’s politicians will go. Here is a person who will squander the taxpayers’ money and then be called a great candidate for public office. My vote is a no vote for politicians that act in this manner.
