Davis doesn't deserve to be called courageous
I have a very close friend who has a son who has served five combat tours — three in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. That was courageous. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were courageous. Those who stood up to the tanks in Tiananmen Square were courageous. The soldiers who landed on Omaha and Utah beaches were courageous. State Rep. Wendy Davis stood for several hours in a safe room, filled with unarmed people and tried to make a case in defense of the legalized massacre of unborn children in the name of “reproductive rights.” To say that she was courageous cheapens the word.
