Herman: Town hall meeting shows town divided

Police shootings spark raw emotions about race at East Austin forum

It’s important that you know about some of the things said, many in anger, at last Thursday’s town hall meeting about the ongoing tension between the Austin Police Department and East Austin.

I’m going to share some of them, at some length, with no editorial comment. You’re sure to have some comments of your own. We’ll get to that in a bit, but first I want to weigh in on a couple of things.
