As we approach Thanksgiving, it appropriate to express gratitude to three Central Texans for their efforts to improve our communities: Tennis great Andy Roddick, Del Valle teacher Emily Anderson and Eanes school librarian Carolyn Foote
We’re excited about the opportunity to enjoy professional tennis in Austin, which is coming to the city thanks to Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open champion, and Lorne Abony, a Toronto entrepreneur who lives in Austin. Roddick, known for firing off big serves that opponents are unable to return, will be the marquee player for the coed “Austin Aces” team.
