Gov. Rick Perry made the politics of abortion personal Thursday, asking what would have happened had state Sen. Wendy Davis’ mother decided that she couldn’t afford to give birth to her.
“She didn’t come from particularly good circumstances,” Perry said at the National to Right Life Convention. “What if her mother had said, `I just can’t do this, I won’t do this?’”
