An investigator poured a tracking chemical down the drain of the beach bar at Volente Beach Water Park. Someone had filed a complaint alleging that the bar was sending its dirty sink water into Lake Travis, and the Lower Colorado River Authority decided, quite literally, to get to the bottom of it.
Rick Redmond, who owns the popular water park, said the bar’s gray water drained to the nearby marina. But the tracking chemical, a dye, did not show up there.
