Gov. Rick Perry has appointed a former assistant attorney general and an assistant district attorney to replace two district judges in Williamson County.
Rick J. Kennon of Round Rock will take over as judge for the 368th District Court beginning Oct. 31, for a term that expires at the next general election. He will replace Judge Burt Carnes, who is retiring.
