Hindu and Jewish communities in Austin have raised close to $14,000 for school supplies for homeless children in the Manor and Austin school districts.
It’s the fourth year Hindu Charities for America has raised money for school supplies for poor children, according to the nonprofit’s founder, Harish Kotecha of Austin who said the organization is a vehicle for Indians in Austin to give back to the community.
