Raise your glass: Austin breweries can finally sell beer on-site

For a couple of months last summer, the beer and cash flowed at Austin’s craft breweries.

The Legislature made a key change to state law in June allowing breweries to sell their beer for people to drink on site, a boon allowing microbreweries to become nightlife destinations in their own right. Many local breweries immediately began to charge customers for each pint they purchased, and customers gladly forked over the money.
