Parents campaigning for the Austin school district’s proposed $892 million bond package have walked a fine line in recent weeks, passing out literature advocating for the bonds at school events. Officials with the district are investigating two instances and are reminding staff about what they can and can’t say as the bond election nears.
Fliers promoting the bonds and “bond election pledge” cards were stuffed inside programs for the McCallum Fine Arts Academy Dance Company’s “At the Feet of Our Ancestors” performance earlier this month.
