The city of Hutto has issued more than 200 new housing permits over the past six months — roughly the same amount approved in each of the past two years.
City staffers expect the building boom to continue through the rest of this year. While the majority of the permits are within existing residential subdivisions that continue to build out, the city is beginning to receive submissions for new projects as well.
