When I first heard that a local man named Austin Anderson was hurt in an Oklahoma tornado and would need surgery, I figured it couldn’t be the Austin Anderson I’ve known for many years.
It’s not that the one I know wouldn’t be near a tornado; it’s just that he, if injured, wouldn’t need surgery. He’d patch himself up with duct tape and spackle. And, irrepressible, optimistic soul that he is, he’d smile through the whole ordeal.
