The Bastrop City Council on Tuesday could approve a zoning change for the former site of the Bastrop County Historical Society Museum, a 160-year-old house with local, state and national historical designations. Approval would clear the way for a Houston-area businessman with other property on Main Street to reuse the space for offices and other purposes.
The Bastrop County Historical Society has put Cornelson-Fehr House up for sale. A preliminary vote by the City Council earlier this month was unanimously in favor of the zoning change.
