The Georgetown City Council voted Tuesday night to rejoin the Lone Star Rail District, putting the city back on the route of the proposed 118-mile commuter railroad that would connect to Austin and San Antonio.
The council members were evenly split, 3-3, over rejoining the district. Mayor George Garver broke the tie by siding with the supporters of the railroad.
