Travis County is following a consultant’s recommendation to make about $1.3 million in security enhancements to its Airport Boulevard offices, including hiring a security manager.
Called the county’s north campus, the offices just north of 51st Street house departments including the sheriff, the county clerk’s elections division, the tax office and the fire marshal. They will get a variety of security upgrades, including more use of surveillance cameras and additional security personnel.
