Carol Lee has lived near Lake Austin for 21 years and has seen it change from a quiet enclave to a destination that is lined with large homes and on hot days is packed with swimmers and watercraft.
Because the winding, 21-mile West Austin lake is not only a popular recreation spot but a source of Austin’s drinking water, it must be protected well into the future, Lee said.
