A long-running lawsuit that accuses the Texas Medical Board of abusing its power was left on Tuesday in the hands of U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel, who said he faces a tough decision.
Yeakel heard closing arguments in the December 2007 suit filed by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons against members of the medical board and its former president, Dr. Roberta Kalafut, who resigned in 2008 after complaints that she had overstepped her bounds.
