A month-long narcotics sting by Austin police ended Wednesday with arrest warrants for 50 people accused of dealing drugs downtown.
“Operation Safe Assistance” targeted dealers and buyers who were preying on people trying to get help from social service providers downtown. Assistant Chief Raul Munguia said some people were seeking those services in fear.
