A rally responding to reports of attacks with balloons filled with bleach continued as planned Wednesday after University of Texas officials said that morning that the balloons reportedly thrown at people in West Campus likely contained only water.
The crowd of about 100 students and staff that gathered at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue instead focused on encouraging students to tell someone if they feel unsafe on campus, a concern some said continues to plague the campus.
