The family of a man fatally shot by an Austin police detective after a chase last week has hired well-known civil attorney Adam Loewy to represent them in any potential lawsuit against the city and Police Department.
Soon after meeting with the family of Larry Eugene Jackson Jr. at his downtown office Wednesday, Loewy confirmed that he would be working on behalf of the Jackson family. He declined to say whether he plans to file a lawsuit concerning Jackson’s death or when he would take such action.
