At least one former drug runner who has testified against five men accused of money laundering for the Zetas cartel will have to take the stand again Thursday after defense attorneys asked a federal court judge to throw out his testimony.
Moments after prosecutors rested their case Wednesday, the defense questioned the credibility of Hector Moreno, 35, who was convicted of narcotics charges. Defense attorneys say Moreno has outstanding warrants on kidnapping and murder charges in Mexico that never came to light when he went before jurors more than a week ago.
