Two people were killed, two others were critically injured and one person was charged with driving while intoxicated after three separate wrecks in Austin within seven hours late Wednesday and early Thursday.
The two deaths bring the number of traffic fatalities in the city this year to 35, one fewer than the total for this time in 2012, which was a record-setting year for traffic deaths in Austin.
