A Travis County grand jury has declined to indict the police officer who shot and killed a man in East Austin last year after a violent struggle that started with a traffic stop, District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg announced Thursday.
Speaking about the case at a news conference, Lehmberg also for the first time made public video and audio recordings from the dashboard camera of officer Eric Copeland’s patrol car and microphone that capture the fatal shooting that happened after he pulled over Ahmede Bradley on April 5, 2012.
