An Austin attorney behind an effort to oust Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg from office after her drunken driving arrest in April backed away from claims that she is also culpable in a hit-and-run that happened nearby that night.
Rick Reed, a former district attorney candidate who filed one of two lawsuits seeking her removal, said new information he learned Wednesday convinced him that Lehmberg was not involved in the collision.
