Austin’s 1.2-mile long boardwalk along the south shore of Lady Bird Lake is taking shape east of Interstate 35, as construction crews have completed building its foundation.
The concrete columns that can now be seen sticking out of the water were completed earlier this month for the section of the boardwalk east of I-35 known as the waterfront promenade, said David Taylor, the city’s boardwalk project manager.
