UPDATE: Road cleared after Lakeway single vehicle crash

Update 2:15 p.m.: The roadway has been cleared after investigators examined the scene of a single vehicle crash on RM 620 near Flamingo Drive, according to the Lakeway police Twitter account.

Earlier: Lakway police responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 300 block of RM 620 South near Flamingo Drive just before 11 a.m. Thursday after a sedan crashed into a guardrail, officials said. First responders performed CPR on a man in his 50s and transported him to Baylor Scott & White Lakeway Hospital.

EMS spokesman Capt. Darrel Noak said EMS believes the man’s condition is “medical in nature rather than traumatic.”

No other patients were reported transported. The Lakeway police Twitter account tweeted at noon that the accident was causing heavy delays, with one lane open in each direction on RM 620. Police will be investigating the crash for several hours, the tweet said.
